A Saudi Sheikh's Crocodile Tears

Saudi Sheikh Nasser Al Omar weeps crocodile tears as he recommends to his king that Saudi writer Hamza Kashgari be executed for supposedly writing "shameful" comments about the Muslim prophet Mohammed on Twitter.

"I'm so sad! So very sad... that this monstrous apostate has blasphemed by tweeting 'I have loved things about you and I have hated things about you and there is a lot I don't understand about you.' I've never read such horrible words. May blessed and merciful Allah strike them from my memory and make Kashgari burn in hellfire for eternity."

The Propagandist's Allies are keeping up the good fight in this war of ideas. Here are the latest dispatches from the front.

You'll notice that all of the links here (as is often the case) deal with Islamist regimes trampling human rights, Americans walking on eggshells to avoid antagonizing its governmental allies in Islamic countries (who take every opportunity to kill, wound and defy their supposed friends) and Muslim street thugs who hate Jews in America (and take out their hatred on fellow Muslims -- naturally). There's an undeniable pattern here.

A quick caveat: If the Indian government were holding capital punishment trials for Christians for following the teachings of Jesus, we would cover that. If Mexico was funding and providing logistical support for religious fanatics to kill Americans and others, we'd report on that. If women had no rights at all in Denmark, we'd report on that. If Mormons were carving Islamic crescent moons into other Mormons' backs, we would report on that. If Colombia had vowed to wipe Venezuela off the map and was in the process of defying UN sanctions to build nuclear weapons with help from North Korea, we would report about that.

Moscow Airport Attacked

From a report on CTV, Suspected Terror Attack Kills Dozens At Moscow Aiport:

Alexei Spiridonov was standing behind the desk of a car rental agency when the airport blast occurred about 100 metres from where he was standing.

"The explosion was so strong that it threw me against the wall," the 25-year-old Spiridonov explained in an interview with The Associated Press.

"People were panicking, rushing out of the hall or looking for their relatives. There were people just lying in blood."

Lufthansa official Yelena Zatserkovnaya was standing a similar distance from the blast.

"There was lots of blood, severed legs flying around," Zatserkovnaya said.

A survey of 600 Islamic and 800 non-Islamic students at 30 universities found that 32 percent of the Muslims believed in religious killing, while only 2 percent of non-Muslim students felt religious murder was justified, the cable said, referring to a poll conducted by the Center for Social Cohesion.

The embassy cable, released by the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks, said the same survey revealed that 54 percent of Muslim students want to be represented by an Islamic-based political party.

The poll also showed that 40 percent of Muslim students endorse Islamic, or Shariah, law, which can impose the death penalty for religious heresy and adultery, often by stoning, or the amputation of hands for theft. Since 2008, Britain has allowed Muslims to follow Shariah law in civil cases, but not in criminal trials.
