The same lie about Gaza is repeated day after day in Internet chat rooms, university classrooms and the audience chambers of some of the most prestigious institutions in the world.
Remember when the President of the United Nations General Assembly Dr. Ali Abdussalam Treki said Israel’s “siege” in Gaza is “worse than the camps of the Nazis”? Or when Libya's deputy ambassador to the United Nations said the exact same thing? Or UN investigator Richard Falk saying "To lock people into a war zone is something that evokes the worst kind of international memories of the Warsaw Ghetto"?
And now, the latest real-life counter to this bizarre rhetoric comes courtesy of Elder of Ziyon:
On Saturday night, the starving people of Gaza opened up a luxury mall.
At opening ceremonies attended by ministers and government officials, the Gaza Mall is a multi-story shopping center that includes food, clothing, perfumes, shoes, household appliances, office supplies and more.
The mall has a website, where we can see that it has air conditioning and parking, as well as delivery and other amenities that one would expect in any major mall.
