As Britons finished up their Christmas shopping this year, many of them had the experience of having their holiday darkened by what is nothing more or less than a hate speech campaign being waged by Muslim religious extremists.
Organized by Abu Ramaysah, a member of Islam4UK, the “12 Evils of Christmas” campaign has plastered British streets with posters declaring Christmas to be responsible for STDs, rape, teenage pregnancies, pedophilia, abortion, homelessness and violence.
Also, paganism. Christmas to blame for paganism! This is clearly a very sharp bunch of people.
This is actually a pretty good time to page Yusuf Islam, also known as Cat Stevens. Yusuf’s endorsement of the fatwah issued against Salman Rushdie for The Satanic Verses seems to remain enduringly in the minds of so many in the western world; as does his justification for that support.
In the midst of the backlash against his stated support for the fatwah, Yusuf declared that it was considered a crime in Islam to defame any prophet.
