"I don't think you'll ever find... a single word, written or spoken, in which I have said I supported Mahmoud Ahmadinejad," says George Galloway. "I defy you and I'll pay you a thousand pounds in cash if you find a single word in which I have ever stated that I support Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I do not support him so I would not have said it. I do not even support the political system in Iran, never mind Mahmoud Ahmadinejad."
Next, the YouTube clip skips to a Press TV broadcast in which Galloway says to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, "I have police protection from the Iranian opposition because of my support for your election campaign. I mention this so you know where I'm coming from."
The question now is whether George Galloway will actually pay up for losing his wager. Kudos to the young Iranian student who asked a question that Galloway should have been forced to answer years ago.
