Free Thinking Film Festival Ottawa November 2011 The 2nd Annual Free Thinking Film Festival which will run in Ottawa between November 11-13, celebrates liberty, freedom and democracy. And you need to be there.

The Free Thinking Film Festival will feature three major events, two panel discussion and over 20 films. Film highlights include:

History Wars, a debate between Jack Granatstein (Historian and former director of the Canadian War Museum) and Michael Byers (Professor of Political Science at UBC) on the future of the Canadian military, moderated by Michael Bliss. This event is co-sponsored by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute.
"The Living," a film about the Ukrainian famine of the 1930s that was perpetrated by Joseph Stalin.
"Unmasked: Judeophobia and the Threat to Civilization", the Canadian premiere of a documentary about the current political assault against Israel. Producer Gloria Greenfield will be in attendance to answer questions.

Free Thinking Film Festival This Weekend!

The Free Thinking Film Festival started tonight in Ottawa. Tomorrow, Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada, will be debating Ezra Levant, author of "Ethical Oil: The Case for Canada's Oil Sands," on Saturday, November 13th at 4:00 PM. Seating precedence will be given to Festival Pass Holders.

The Free Thinking Film Festival 2010 features:

Film Festival will feature three huge Galas, and over 19 films, panel discussions, and lectures. In addition, festival attendees will be able to relax at Free Thinking Alley where they can browse the literature of our supporters, buy books and DVDs, enjoy a bite to eat, and meet other enthusiasts.

"There are a lot of courageous voices in the non-fiction film industry producing thoughtful pieces of art which reject cultural relativism and the 'blame America' bandwagon," says Free Thinking Film Festival President Fred Litwin. "But you wouldn't know it by looking at the listings for most art house cinemas. Our festival shows the kinds of films that some theatres seem to be afraid to show."
