Send in the drones

Drones are just a tool; a method of disrupting our enemy that is more effective than sending 100,000 troopsMore >>

In fairness to the Dictator, er, President, CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jessica Yellin's suggestion that the President essentially hold Republicans hostage until a deal was done -- "couldn't you just have them down there and refuse to let them leave the room?" -- was pretty dumb. But this was a response that will be memed, edited and gif'd for the remainder of Barack Obama's term.

You'll recall that the United Nations was formed to stop war and genocide following the human carnage of the Second World War.

Today we see that the leader of Sudan, who is wanted for genocide by the International Criminal Court,  will chair the humanitarian affairs segment of the annual session of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

And all of the apologists for the UN who tried to tell you it wasn't a big deal -- well, it's a big deal.

Up is down. Good is evil. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria...More >>

Actually, it's worse than that. One could argue they've effectively endorsed slavery. The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has just voted to appoint Mauritania as its Vice-President for the next year.

Mauritania, although all-but ignored by mainstream human-rights groups, is a country that allows 20% of its citizens, about 800,000 people, some as young as 10, to live as slaves.

In fairness to Galloway, perhaps the man of "Respect" ran because he reasonably figured he was going to lose. Outside of a packed house of Hamasniks and Che Guevara-worshipping seven-year Bachelor degree pursuers, his inane and counter-factual demagoguery ain't much help in a real debate.

The brave muhajadin carried out their glorious raids against... shops, supermarkets and a karaoke bar.

Shops in Pattani City were closed on Monday and streets deserted, as residents stayed indoors fearing more violence. The bombing and arson campaign is being regarded as revenge for the killing of 16 militants who attacked a marine base in Narathiwat Province last Wednesday. It was the deadliest day the insurgents have suffered in almost a decade.
Almost 5,400 people have died, and more than 9,500 have been injured, since the insurgency started in earnest in 2004.

Note that this genocidal campaign against non-Muslims has been launched in "revenge" for the jihadists who died carrying out attacks. It's like bank robbers, failing to get into the vault on their first attempt and losing a number of their crew to security guards, taking revenge on the bank with another heist.

The racket is always the same. Islamists create chaos in areas they want to control. When security forces stand by helpless to respond, people who can move away do so. Finally, the jihadists move in and offer "security" to the exhausted and demoralized remainder -- in exchange for acceptance of sharia law and conversion...More >>
