The USA compensates the familes of 16 victims of a rampaging soldier with $50,000 for each of their slain relatives.

No word yet on when Afghanistan will compensate the American families of military or police trainers who were killed by their Afghan trainees.

One also wonders how these families feel about having to evacuate their ancestral homes for their own personal safety, now that every bandit and financially-strapped Taliban thug will be on the lookout for some easy money. $50,000 can go a very long way in that country.
