Most of the bomb material that winds up in IEDs targeting Americans in Afghanistan comes from Pakistan (And it's more than likely that the guys planting the bombs are either Pakistani or paid by Pakistani agents, to boot). It looks like Pakistan's government overreached when they shut down the land routes into Afghanistan, effectively turning "allied" NATO troops into a besieged force. The US Congress is striking back, withdrawing $700 million in aid to Pakistan.

Aren't we just delaying the inevitable, though? Cut off all aid to Osama-bin-Laden-hiding, Taliban-supporting, jihad-exporting Pakistan right now. Those billions could really do a lot more good back in America than in the hands of jihadist gold-diggers.
